Wildlife sanctuary is a protected land where natural wildlife resources are being protected, conserved and fostered to live an independent life under the subtle care of assigned forest division. Exotic land of India is best known for its rich and varied wildlife and diverse flora and fauna. It is home to endangered species like Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Elephant, Peacock, One Horned Rhinoceros, Snow Leopard, Siberian Crane and many more.

Distinct geographical topography of India results into a breathtaking view of rugged terrain, rich and exotic flora and fauna. According to one survey, it is calculated that India is home to 441 Wildlife Sanctuaries and 81 National Parks. There are some Wildlife Sanctuaries in India where wildlife lovers can witness endangered species. A few of well known national parks and wildlife sanctuaries of India are Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, Sariska Tiger Reserve, Kaziranga National Park, Manas Tiger Reserve, Periyar National Park, Sunderbans National Park, Jim Corbett National Park, Ranthambore National Park and many more.

Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest and most famous Northern Indian national parks. The park which is 130 kilometers from the city of Jaipur, Is said to have been a well renowned hunting grounds for the Maharajas people of Jaipur. Owing to its vast assortment of wildlife, Ranthambore National Park is currently a major tourist appeal. The animal species within the park basically includes: Tigers, Sambar deer, langurs, Leopards, Chital, Nilgai, Hanuman Macaques, Striped Hyenas, Jackals, Black bucks, Wild Indian Boar, Jungle cats, Sloth bears, Rufoustailed Hare, Caracals, Palm Fivestriped Squirels, Chinkara, Yellow Coomon Bats, Desert Cats, Palm Civets etc

Bengal tigers roam in the west; the lion-tailed macaque monkey watches from trees in South India; revered elephants graze in the grasses of Kerala;
